This project aimed to revitalize two main roads in the city's shopping district in time for the pride celebrations, ensuring a safer and more engaging pedestrian experience.
THE CHALLENGE

Objective: Create a permanent rainbow street to celebrate the pride weekend.
Execution: Using Robur® Grip MMA, each colour of the rainbow was applied one-by-one to create a vibrant, enduring street that would serve as the centerpiece for pride celebrations for years to come.
Outcome: The result was a highly vibrant rainbow strip, with minimal disruption to foot traffic due to the quick and easy application process.
Laugavegur - Laying Down the Red Carpet
Objective: Revitalize Laugavegur street with a durable, eye-catching surface.
Execution: Tyregrip® was used for its high-friction surfacing, followed by Thermaline® to apply the Reykjavik city logo and pedestrian symbols.
Outcome: A vibrant 'red carpet' effect was achieved, promoting the pedestrian-friendly nature of the street.
